On July 18, Deputy Prime Minister U. Enkhtuvshin met with Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) Antonio Guterres to exchange views about cooperation between Mongolia and the UN.
Deputy Prime Minister U. Enkhtuvshin thanked Guterres for the UN’s wide-ranging support for Mongolia. He added that the Mongolian government is willing to increase the provision of Mongolian military personnel for the UN’s peacekeeping activities. Secretary-General Guterres specifically expressed appreciation for Mongolia’s contribution to maintaining peace on the Korean Peninsula and affirmed that the UN will enhance its cooperation with Mongolia in all forms.
