Due to heavy rainfall from July 14 through 16, in Ulgii soum of Bayan-Ulgii Province, 2,512 people from 530 households have been affected by flooding in the region.
The National Emergency Management Agency reported that 1,566 residents have been removed from dangerous areas, 668 people have been provided with temporary shelters, and 58 households have been relocated so far.
Currently, a total of 618 relief workers, including volunteers and residents, are working in Ulgii soum. According to a preliminary report, the total amount of damage caused by flooding is projected to be five times the damage from flooding in July 2016.
