According to officials’ reports, flooding damages in Bayan-Ulgii Province totaled 15.6 billion MNT. At its regular session on August 1, the Cabinet decided to allocate 468 million MNT of the needed 540 million MNT for flood damage relief in Bayan-Ulgii Province from the Government Reserve Fund.
The remaining 72 million is to be allocated from local reserve funds. A total of 116 kilometers of paved road has been broken down in several provinces after heavy downpours across the country. Cabinet members voted to assign 1.3 billion MNT for road repairs from the Government Reserve Fund.
