On August 2, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Representative in Mongolia, Vinod Kumar Ahuja presented his letter of credence to Minister of Foreign Affairs, D. Tsogtbaatar. During the meeting, Minister D.Tsogtbaatar specifically asked Representative Vinod Kumar Ahuja to make on-site visits to the flood-affected areas of Bayan-Ulgii Province. Both sides agreed to collaborate on initiatives to export agricultural products to the European Union, such as milk products, meat and meat products, as well. After Mongolia joined the FAO in 1973, bilateral cooperation has taken place in a range of fields, including resource management, technology know-how, agricultural policies, food safety, etc.
