On September 5, Chairman of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party (MPRP) N. Enkhbayar and Secretary General of the party B. Tulga held a press conference regarding the matter of Khentii Province’s re-elections.
Chairman N. Enkhbayar stated, “Members of the Constitutional Court can’t work independently, without any interference. As specified by the Constitution, citizens have the right to vote and partake in state decision making processes through their elected representatives.
The Constitutional Court’s decision to revoke Khentii Province’s re-election scheduled for October is a breach of the voting rights of over 17,000 citizens. We will collect these citizens’ signatures to restore their rights.”
