The Ecological Police Unit has organized some activities to combat illegal mining operations.
In particular, 20 gold, 2 fluorspar and 1 other mineral deposits located in 13 provinces such as Arkhangai, Bulgan, Govi-Altai, Darkhan-Uul and Dundgovi were attacked 58 times by about 18,000 people and illegally explored minerals.
The police stopped the operation, detained and investigated the criminals, and sent 23 cases to the court, and 19 of them were sentenced in accordance with the law.
In particular, the illegal gold miners entered the licensed area of “Khamtiin Ekh Bulag'' LLC in Tuul Zuun Denj, Derst bag, Buregkhangai soum, Bulgan province. A total of 16 officers and 6 vehicles cooperated with the police in Bulgan province to detect 8 criminal acts of 5 violations, and ended the violations.
