Mongolian national team athlete and ISM shooter E.Davaakhuu claimed a bronze medal in the men’s 50m pistol event at the Asian Shooting Championships in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. The tournament, running from August 15–30, has brought together 30 Mongolian athletes across three age categories.
Iranian athletes secured the gold and silver medals in the event.
This marks another milestone in Mongolia’s shooting sports history. The country’s first Asian medal was earned in 1987, when State Honored Coach L.Undralbat took bronze in the same discipline. In 1991, State Honored Athlete D.Munkhbayar captured Mongolia’s first continental gold medal.
