The Independent Authority Against Corruption has detained N.Tavinbekh, who previously served as State Secretary and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, for 48 hours.
The IAAC said that N.Tavinbekh is being investigated on suspicion that he abused his position and illegally acquired wealth in connection with a foreign energy concessional-loan project. The agency said it will provide more detailed information as the investigation progresses.
