The 31st Congress of the Mongolian People’s Party, held from November 15–17, approved amendments to the party’s charter after three days of debate.
On the opening day delegates elected N.Uchral as party chairman. The second day opened at 09:00 and saw more than ten hours of discussion as members reviewed the party programme and proposed charter amendments prepared under the Law on Political Parties. Delegates from across the party expressed views on the revisions before the draft changes were put to a vote and approved.
On the final day, delegates will renew the supervisory committee and elect remaining party officials and congress members to complete the organizational process.
