In the 2025 IMMAF World Championship held in Tbilisi, Altanchimeg Baigalmaa won gold in the women’s –65.8 kg category. B.Altanchimeg defeated Angolan athlete Nadir Vieira in the second round via a leg triangle choke to become world champion.
B.Altanchimeg is a two-time national champion, and previously earned bronze at both the 2024 Youth World Championships and the Asian Championships. With this victory, B.Altanchimeg became the first Mongolian athlete to become a World Champion in Mixed Martial Arts.
This edition of the World Championships in Tbilisi features over 1,000 top MMA competitors from more than 80 countries. Mongolia is represented by 4 athletes and 1 coach. The competition concludes today with the adult category finals.
