7th meeting of Mongolian People`s Party (MPP) to select a presidential candidate is being held today at the Independence Palace, featuring its 259 members.
The majority or 85.7 percent of the members voted for Speaker of the Parliament M.Enkhbold while Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Ts.Nyamdorj collected 17.5 percent of votes.
Thus, M.Enkhbold officially announced as the MPP’s candidate for the Presidential election that will be held on June 26.
MPP concluded that the presidential candidate nomination conducted open, fair and democratic.
Currently, the members of MPP are to discuss the platform for presidential election.
