State honored athlete Tulga Tumur-Ochir won a silver medal in the men’s freestyle 70 kg category at the “Bishkek-2026” Asian Championship.
In the final, he faced Indian wrestler and Asian Championship bronze medalist Abhimanyou. T.Tulga took a 2–0 lead in the first period, but in the decisive period, the Indian wrestler turned the match around to take a 3–2 lead.
T.Tulga equalized once again, but Abhimanyou used a takedown to secure a 5–3 victory and claim the Asian title.
A World Cup silver and bronze medalist and an Asian Games champion, T.Tulga had previously reached the Asian Championship final twice in the 65 kg category, winning two silver medals. This time, he moved up to the 70 kg weight class and earned his third silver medal at the continental championship.
