A State visit of Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the President of Mongolia, continues in Uzbekistan. During this visit, the embassy of Mongolia opened in Tashkent.
B.Battsetseg, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia, said that the opening of the embassy in a short period of time, as agreed upon by the heads of state of the two countries, is a clear sign that Mongolia attaches special importance to the development of relations and cooperation.
The embassy will make an important contribution to increasing trade and investment, strengthening the exchange of citizens, and friendship between peoples of two countries. She also expressed confidence that the Republic of Uzbekistan will soon open its embassy in Ulaanbaatar.
The opening ceremony was attended by Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the President of Mongolia, his wife Bolortsetseg Luvsandorj, A.Aripov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, B.Saidov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and D.Batbaatar, the Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Consulate General of Mongolia worked in Tashkent in 1977-1994. As of today, there are 46 embassies, three consuls general, and 13 honorary consuls operating in Tashkent.
