Training for gardeners has been launched in cooperation with Ulaanbaatar city Mayor's Office, Public Service Brigade and Ulaanbaatar University.
Total of 100 gardeners are to be trained to choose the trees and bushes to plant, prepare for planting, learn techniques of horticulture, shaping the bushes, protection of the green area and learn how to prepare the plants for the winter.
Training will be led by professionals at Ulaanbaatar University. According to the studies 20-25 sq.m of green area should be allocated per capita, while this number is 4-5 times less in Ulaanbaatar city. It is crucial to increase the green space in Ulaanbaatar city as it helps to reduce air and soil pollution and noise pollution as well.
