Minister of Education, Culture and Science L.Gantumur held meeting with representatives of Hollywood on establishment of Hollywood standard cinema complex in Mongolia.
Meeting was attended by Head of Culture Policy Management Department at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science D.Gantumur, Founder and Producer of Cinemagic Entertainment and Contract Agent of Hollywood Film Academy Bradley Hong, co-founder of ESPN, ABC, CBC and TS Turner Sport channels and Olympic coordinating producer Michael Pearl, director of Hollywood martial art Eric Chan, Inner Mongolia Film Association Ning Chai and Head of Mongolian Film Council D.Nyamdorj.
"Hollywood film school Mongolia" LLC requested a right from the Minister of Education, Culture and Science L.Gantumur to introduce training module of Hollywood film school into Mongolian state owned film schools.
Moreover, they aim to establish major Hollywood standard film complex, school and film support foundation in Mongolia and requested support from the state.
During the meeting, Minister of Education, Culture and Science L.Gantumur said: "I am grateful for you visiting Mongolia. Especially, I am very grateful for introducing training module of Hollywood into schools in order to establish film school.
We will support with policy and we need to approve law on film urgently. We are fully supporting the proposal to establish film support foundation. For example, if one watches movie in France with USD 9 where USD 1 is transferred to this foundation. We need to implement this regulation in Mongolia. If you bring the construction plan of the film complex, feasibility study, we will submit to the Government and will invest to the construction."
In addition, Hollywood plans to make film about Chinggis Khaan and 20 percent of the shooting is expected to be filmed in Mongolia.
During the meeting, representatives of Chinese film stated that they are willing to cooperate with Mongolia on making the Chinggis Khaan film and expressed that they need assistance on preparation of required documents.
