Have you seen the pictures of children who are decorating the trees with animal paintings? In the scope of "Inhabited Tree" competition project by JCI Eco organizer, children are drawing animals on bare trees to raise the public awareness at trees which are inhabited. "Inhabited Trees" project which is to call for youth to love the nature started from April 8.
This project aims to inform on endangered animals to the public and to protect and love them, has been implemented since 2014 and it will last until the 10th of June 2015. This year, the project is being organized under the theme of "Endangered animals in the world".
The youngest participant in the competition is 11 years old. Participants are to decorate trees located in Ankara, Sambuu Street, Zaluuchuud Avenue, Sukhbaatar Street, University Street and United Nations street.
People paint the bottom of trees white in order to protect from the sun and insect infestation. Therefore, children are coloring the trees with acrylic paint which is not harmful to the nature.
First place of the competition is to be awarded with MNT 500.000, second place of the competition is to be awarded with MNT 300.000 and third place of the competition is to be awarded with MNT 100.000.
Love the planet, to give joy to others, this project is organized every year for people of all ages can participate. This project will be organized annually and people of all ages are able to participate.
