Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg met with President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar His Excellency Mr. U Thein Sein who is paying state visit to Mongolia by the invitation of President Ts.Elbegdorj.
Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg appreciated to representatives led by President U Thein Sein for visiting Mongolia and highlighted the visit as the first State Visit by the President of Myanmar to Mongolia as well as expressed his confidence for this visit to play an important role in relations between two countries.
President U Thein Sein expressed his satisfaction at developing cooperation and bilateral relations and he expressed his hope for many activities that will advance bilateral relations and cooperation to new stage will be organized in next year within the framework of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg mentioned that he is focusing on the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations which will be held next year and offered to organize mutual cultural events. Moreover, he emphasized that our country has established International Cooperation Fund with the aim to share its experiences of democratic transition and to show support to other countries during their transition and implemented a number of joint projects with Myanmar within the framework of this fund.
In addition, PM Ch.Saikhanbileg noted that possible sectors to develop cooperation with Myanmar is mining, tourism and cultural sectors, reported by the Government`s Media and Public Relations Department.
