Distinguished Athletes, Coaches, Referees and Dear Guests,
The humanity has already embarked upon the transition to the era of globalization. The sport is one sector considered as the forerunner on this transition.
The physical culture and sport has always been contributing positively to the humanity by not only being an impetus to the individual developments and well bringing, but also paying an immensely important role and immeasurable benefit to the peaceful coexistence of world countries while strengthening the peace, promoting mutual understanding and fair competition.
As the head of the state, therefore, I strongly believe that development of sports requires full backing of the state support.
Our Mongolian athletes do take a pride on their achievements and find courage in their successes gained at the Olympic games and other international championships.
I am delighted to know that over 300 athletes representing 38 nations will compete with their power and prowess at this tournament and their performances will be shown in over 180 countries in the world via live TV transmission.
A tournamed named after by our Greatest King, the Chinggis Khan Grand Prix Ulaanbaatar holds an important feature by accrediting points to the rights to compete in the Rio 2016, the XXXI Summer Olympic Games.
On this occasion, I like to express my gratitude to the international Judo Federation (IJF) for providing such a rare opportunity for Mongolian aficionados to see the wonders od world judo as well as to congratulate the Mongolian Judo Association (MJA) team for organizing the competition with the world standard.
I convey you all the participating athletes, trainers and referees the best wishes as well as the success to the tournament.
Thank you.
