Today was the last of the Spring Session of the State Great Khural. Speaker Z.Enkhbold closed the session with report on the operations and policy of the Spring Session.
In the closing speech he said that Tavantolgoi deposit should be put into economic circulation with added value and added benefit for all the shareholders of its shares and that all the deposits should be put into operation, besides the East Tsankhi.
In order to have added value it is important to have state ownership and develop infrastructure such as railroads. Working Group to evaluate the Tavantolgoi agreement has concluded that the agreement bears less benefit for the Mongolian side. Therefore, the Cabinet has recalled the draft.
State Great Khural is to pay increased attention on ensuring the benefits for the Mongolian side on the agreements to be done with foreign and domestic investments to ensure the implementation of the 6th clause of the Constitution of Mongolia.
Draft laws on Pardoning and Economic Transparency haven't been discussed through this Spring Session as MPP group has taken break. In this regard, special session of the State Great Khural is to be called on August 3rd to discuss those drafts on top of appointment of the six members of the Cabinet. July 29th is the anniversary of the first democratic elections and 25th anniversary of establishment of the regular parliament. MPs have to attend the event.
Tommorow the Mongol Naadam Festival to Commemorate 2224th Anniversary of New Regime, 809th Anniversary of Ikh Mongol State, 94th Anniversary of People's Revolution starts. We say after naadam there is autumn. This year due to the less precipitation drought is affecting most of the land. MPs need to focus on winter preparation.
