National Triathlon Competition held in Arkhangai aimag at Ugii Lake during July 17-19th. This year was the 10th anniversary of the National Triathlon Competition and is marked as first of the full distance competition.
Kh.Odgerel, Athlete of Border Protection Unit 0164 of Khilchin Sport Committee, performed best in cold rain in elite male category (1000 m swimming, 28 km bicycling, 9,2 km running). Although he was placed 4th after bicycle competition with 6 min 30 sec, he made it to first place at the first 3 km of running competition with best result of 2h 8min. Silver medal went to Ch.Gansukh, athlete of Khangarid Club, bronze medal went to N.Orgil, athlete of Cannondale Mongolia.
T.Khuslen, athlete of Khangarid Club, won for the third consecutive time, therefore becoming the Sports Master at the age of 17. Silver medal went to E.Surennyam, athlete of Khangarid Club and bronze medal went to E.Uyanga, athlete of Khangarid Club.
Interesting part of the competition were the competitions of boys and amateurs, with over 40 participants.
