Amgalan Heating Power Plant located in Bayanzurkh district is to start its operations on September 15th and supply with heat the eastern region of Ulaanbaatar city.
Implementation progress of the construction is at 95 percent currently. Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg, Ulaanbaatar city Mayor E.Bat-Uul and other city officials visited the site today.
Amgalan Plant has the capacity of 348MW and is to supply 50,000 households in the eastern part of the city with heating covering 13th, 14th and 16th microdistrict.

- Computer control system
- Two heating distribution pipelines with 2Ф700 mm
- 11kW two-circuit electricity air-transfer line 350m
- Electricity sub-station
- Fuel transmission facilities
- Railroad extension
- Network water pump
- Pipes and electricity transmission facility equipment.
Contractor for this USD 75,9 million project is Chinese company CMEC. The test heating financing of the MNT 3.9 billion will be provided by Government of Mongolia as Prime Minister announced today.
