Doctors and medical staffs made a statement today in regards to the order to cut the additional salary of doctors and medical staffs working in challenging conditions, which was issued by the Minister of Health G.Shiilegdamba on Sep 24.
The order set to cancel the distribution of the additional salaries for eight types of doctors from National Center for Infectious Diseases, National Center for Pathology, District Hospitals, pathologist doctors at Maternity Houses, laboratory technicians, and supporting staffs.
Specifically, they claimed to revoke the order.
Back in 2010, the Minister of Health ordered to grant additional salary worth of 50 percent of the base salary to doctors and staffs working in challenging condition. However, it was decreased to 20 percent when it had started to be implemented.
Head of Mongolian Health Workers Union B.Myagmar stated that "It is illegal that the Minister has issued a such order according to the Health and Sport Sectors Negotiation for 2015-2016, which the Minister of Health and Sport have signed not to reduce the level of salary and income from its possessed level."
Moreover, he reminded that the budget cut must be done from higher officials not the lower level.
They delivered following claim to Minister of Health G.Shiilegdamba:
- To issue an order to cancel the 384th order which was submitted by the Minister of Health on September 24, 2015
- To finalize the overtime pay worth of MNT 125 million and to grant to the doctors and staffs working during measles outbreak
- To charge the General Director of National Center for Infectious Diseases D.Nyamhuu who could not decide and resolve the salary and social welfare issues of staffs
If the following claims are not resolved within October 16, they announced to demonstrate and go on strike in accordance with their rights.
