The Thief of the Mind at Asian World Film Festival

“The Thief of The Mind” film considered as one of the works, which brought local film industry into the world stage, is presented at Asian World Film Festival held in Los Angeles, as the representative of Mongolian film industry.

Despite the film premiered in 2012, it has received the praise and positive reviews from organizers of the festival, and become one of just three films from Asian countries.

Producer and actor of “The Thief of the Mind” B.Amarsaikhan attended in the opening ceremony of the festival, alongside famous Asian actors, directors and film critics.

Actor B.Amarsaikhan has given interviews to several media outlets, while the film’s tickets got sold out for two days, leading other countries’ films with ticket sales.

Jason Ma, Director of East West Production which actor B.Amarsaikhan belongs to, also participated in the ceremony.

“The Thief of The Mind” film won Grand Prix and nominated for best original screenplay, best actor, best supporting actress, best sound and best producer from “Mongolian Academy Awards 2012”

Also, the film won Grand Prix and awards in five categories from Ulaanbaatar film festival, while it won “best TV work” from “Goomaral 2013” festival.

Asia World Film Festival initiated by filmmaker Sadyk Sher-Niyaz is designed to expand filmmakers’ cooperation and to promote Asian films to the rest of the world.

The festival will show films from more than 50 Asian countries, 23 of which will be discussed in the further for nominations of Golden Globe, Oscars and Emmy Awards.

“The Thief of the Mind” film, the representative of Mongolia, will be presented on October 28,29 at the festival, while tickets were sold out.
