Vehicles parked in illegal locations will be towed starting Jan 1st

Vehicles parked in following 77 streets to be towed starting Jan 1st. However, official permit of traffic police officers is required for the towing.

Specifically, traffic police officer must fill sheet provides the information of car mark, license plate, the reason for towing and it must be verified by the signature of police officer. Following the filled sheet to be transferred to the driver of towing vehicle and technical staff.

In addition, if a driver take back the vehicle within 24 hours after towing, the towing fee will remitted, reported by the City Governor`s Office.

The towing of the illegally parked vehicles will be conducted with specialized towing cars and the tariffs are set as:

motorcycle MNT 30,000
sedan, vans, trucks up to 3,5 tons and busses MNT 60,000
vehicles over 3,5 tons MNT 90,000.

The cars will be towed during 8AM to 8PM parked in following locations in order to reduce the traffic congestion and accidents.
