4 Mongolian boxers will participate in Rio 2016 Olympic games

180 male, 46 female boxers from 35 countries participated in Rio 2016 Olympic qualifying tournament and Mongolian boxers achieved great result with 8 men and 1 female competing for medals.

Mongolian boxers proved to be top contenders in Asia-Pacific tournament and 4 of them got their 'Rio-2016' Olympic games quotas.

D. Otgondalai - Qualified for Rio-2016, Gold medal in Asia Pacific Games, 60kg division
B. Chinzorig - Qualified for Rio-2016, Silver medal in Asia Pacific Games, 64kg division
G. Gan-Erdene - Qualified for Rio-2016, Bronze medal in Asia Pacific Games, 49kg division
B. Tuvshinbat - Qualified for Rio-2016, Bronze medal in Asia Pacific Games, 69kg division

There is still a chance to increase the number of olympic qualifying boxers in the upcoming tournament which will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan. It's the last olympic qualifying tournament for Rio-2016. From Mongolia, 4 male boxers are able to take olympic quotas from this competition, and as for female boxers World Boxing Championship in Astana, Kazakhstan are their last chance to get olympic quotas.
