Vice FM of Iran visited Mongolia

In the commemoration of 45th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Islamic Republic of Iran, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Islamic Republic H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Rahimpour visited Mongolia on June 3-4, 2016.

In the frame of the visit Mr. Ibrahim Rahimpour had official meetings with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Mr. L.Purevsuren, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Mr. D.Gankhuyag, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Food and Agriculture of Mongolia Mr. N.Ariunbold, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Industry of Mongolia Mr. D.Gankhuu , the State Secretary of the Ministry of Mining of Mongolia Mr. D.Artag.

On the first day of the visit, a cooperation memorandum between the Foreign Ministries of Mongolia and Iran was signed by D.Gankhuyag, the State Secretary of the Mongolian Foreign Ministry; and the Iranian Vice FM Ibrahim Rahimpur in Ulaanbaatar. Afterwards, the Vice FM attended an opening ceremony of a photo exhibition themed “Mongolia-Iran relationship: in past and presence” mounted in the National Museum of Mongolia on occasion of the 45th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations.

IRAN WANTS TO BUY MONGOLIAN TWO-HUMPED CAMELS

State Secretary of the Mongolian Ministry of Food and Agriculture N.Ariunbold met Friday Mr Ebrahim Rahimpour, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Asia-Pacific Affairs.

During the meeting the sides exchanged views on an official agreement with Iran on veterinary sanitary conditions for exporting Mongolian meat and meat products to that country.

The parties also focused on joint actions towards the reduction of desertification, protection of pastures and agricultural areas from desertification by planting greeneries, and discussed possibilities of studying Iranian experience in this area.

Informing that the population of camels is declining in Iran, Mr. Ibrahim Rahimpur said Iran is interested in buying Mongolian two-humped (Bactrian) camels for commercial purposes.

 MONGOLIA AND IRAN REACH SEVERAL AGREEMENTS 

State Secretary of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs D.Gankhuyag held Friday an official meeting with Ebrahim Rahimpour, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran on Asia-Pacific Affairs who is on a visit here.

At the meeting, the parties talked about possible ways for fostering bilateral political relations and forwarding the cooperation in trade, economy, investment, culture, education and science and shared views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.

The sides focused on studies of historical sources related to the Ilkhanate and its history and culture and then touched upon issues regarding agricultural products trading, exporting Mongolian meat and meat products to Iran, combining efforts in combating desertification, learning Iranian experiences in the mining and oil industries and training Mongolian students in Iran.
