At the "ASEM Information Hour" weekly media briefing on June 2, journalists were informed about the hotels and the ASEM Villa to accommodate the ASEM delegates. The briefing was held by Tegshjargal, Secretary of the ASEM Venue and Accommodation Working Group a department head at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, S. Monkhbat, Head of the Mongolian Hotels Association, N. Battsengel, Advisor at the ASEM Venue and Accommodation Working Group, and D. Altanzul, General Manager of the ASEM Villa complex.
Partner hotels received loans for ASEM preparations
40 partner hotels have been selected to accommodate the foreign delegates of the ASEM Summit. These hotels received 121 billion togrog soft loans from commercial banks and they have completed the preparation work for the Summit, including personnel training, repair, and refurbishment.
"The ASEM partner hotels, under the soft loan scheme, had committed to refurbishing their hotels, improving their hospitality services--the preparation is continuing and the hotels are almost ready to welcome their guests," reported T. Tegshjargal.

Official hotel bookings have been made with three downtown hotels, including Shangri-La, Blue Sky, and Best Western Premiere Tuushin: 280 delegates of 24 countries have made their hotel bookings with Shangri-La, 180 delegates of 7 countries are booked with Blue Sky Hotel, and 190 delegates from 16 countries booked at the Best Western Premiere Tuushin Hotel.
"The heads of delegations to the ASEM Summit will be accommodated at the ASEM Villa complex, and so far, about 40 countries have booked at the Villa. The construction of the complex has been completed in general and the Villa would be officially handed over to the ASEM Office of Mongolia by June 15," said D. Altanzul.
The 11th Asia-Europe Meeting Summit (ASEM11) will be held on July 15-16, 2016, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Over 4,000 delegations, including 15 heads of state and 21 heads of government, 1,000 media representation, and participants of other side events are expected to arrive from 51 Asian and European ASEM member countries.
