There have been 56 accidents involving motorcycles in Mongolia as of November 2016. Locals in rural areas use motorcycles in daily life to watch their livestock, hence they endanger their health and lives.
Recently, heavy snows caused slippery roads. Therefore, the Traffic Police Department of Mongolia announced that in Arkhangai, Bulgan, Darkhan-Uul, Umnugovi, Dornod, Dundgovi, Zavhan, Selenge, Uvs, and Khentiiaimags (provinces) and the suburban areas including Nalaikh, Bagakhangai and Baganuur districts,the driving of motorcycleswill be banned during the winter.
