Air quality index in Bayankhoshuu is VERY UNHEALTHY

As of today at 9 a.m (27th Mar), areas nearby Bayankhoshuu have very unhealthy air quality index of 434.

Moreover unhealthy for sensitive air quality hit the areas including Tolgoit, Mongolian national broadcasting, Misheel expo, Baruun durvun zam (West 4 intersection), 100 ail, Bukhiin Urgoo (Wrestler`s Palace) and Mongol Gazar. 

According to the agaar.mn, an air quality monitoring webstie, levels of PM2.5 particulates reach high in following areas;

  • 378 micrograms per cubic meter area nearby Mongolian national broadcasting, 
  • 207 micrograms per cubic meter area nearby Bayankhoshuu,
  • 110  micrograms per cubic meter in Baruun Durvun Zam (West 4 intersection). 

Levels of PM2.5 particulates, which are the most hazardous to health, in heavily polluted areas of Ulaanbaatar city exceeds 15 times above the recommended levels, as compared with the World Health Organization safe level of 25.
