The budget of running the 2017 presidential election of Mongolia has been approved as 14.9 billion Tugrik. The maximum cost of per political party was set as 6.8 billion Tugrik while the maximum cost of per candidate was set at 3.9 billion Tugrik. Thus, the total cost of the election is estimated to be at around 47 billion Tugrik this year.
The first presidential election was organized by MNT 40 million Tugrik in 1993 while the cost was 15.8 billion Tugrik in 2003.
