UNESCO and Globe International Center to host IPDCtalks: Mongolia event

ULAANBAATAR (GoGo Mongolia) - In celebration of the second International Day for Universal Access to Information (IDUAI), the Mongolian National Commission for UNESCO and Globe International Center (GIC) will host an “IPDCtalks: Mongolia” event for the first time on 28th September in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.

The conference is designed to raise public awareness about the media’s important role in monitoring progress towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and in holding authorities accountable for their role in achieving them.

It is also a crucial platform for stakeholders to discuss the adoption and effective implementation of the national right to information laws, in line with international standards and obligations.

The conference is aimed at reinforcing dialogue on access to information and its connection to SDGs, including series of speeches from top journalists, community leaders, and prominent civil society activists.
