In connection to the risk of fuel price increase, the Cabinet reached a decision to exempt excise tax on A92 and A80 gasoline during its regular session on Wednesday.
Furthermore, an oil refinery will be built in Altan Shiree soum of Dornogobi aimag. Accordingly, 150 hectares of land located 20km from Sainshand in Altan Shiree soum will be nationalized.
The construction of the refinery is scheduled to start in the second quarter of this year.
Additionally, Ulaanbaatar Railways joint venture company will be responsible for constructing a 20 km long railroad between Saishand and the oil refinery, while Minister of Defence will construct an auto road and Ulaanbaatar Electricity Distribution Network will establish the power transmission line respectively.
