16 suspicious cases and 309 observing cases in Mongolia

Head of the Department for Medical Assistance at the Ministry of Health Ya.Buyanjargal gave following information:
During the online meeting with WHO last week, situation has been changed as Coronavirus is spread through friends and family members. The main advice giving from WHO is to make people understand isolating themselves at home and following relevant advice.

Receiving accelerate diagnostics of Covid-19 virus from South Korea is under operation with cooperation of Russia and People’s Republic of China.

Currently, there are 16 suspicious cases and 390 people are under observation. Since January 9, 705 people were under observation and 227 people were tested including foreign citizens.

Following numbers are under observation:

  • National Center for Communicable Diseases- 88 people
  • Central Military Hospital- 65 people
  • The 2nd hospital- 9 people
  • Asralt Med hospital- 32 people
  • General Emergency Agency resort- 41 people
  • Others are in Dornod, Uvurkhangai, Khentii, Selenge, Orkhon and Bayan-Ulgii provinces.
