Voting for the Presidential election of Mongolia finished yesterday. According to the result, U.Khurelsukh, a candidate from the Mongolian People’s Party, received the major votes and was selected as the next President of Mongolia.
After the election, U.Khurelsukh made a report to the media.
“Good evening, the eighth presidential election of Mongolia has officially ended. I think citizens of Mongolia are getting information about the election results with us on TV.
About 60 percent of Mongolians with voting age participated in the Presidential election. Out of this 60 percent, I, the candidate from the MPP has won with about 65 percent of the vote. I sincerely thank all the people of Mongolia. I see this result as a huge responsibility. I understand that citizens of Mongolia voted for me to finish the work that I already started, implement what I have promised and develop our country.
I will work hard for the development of our country, for the unity of our people, for the well-being of our country, and for leaving a good society for our children and future generations.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to S.Erdene, the DP candidate, and D.Enkhbat, the Right Person Electorate Party candidate. Of course, elections are competitive. We competed well last 14 days. We traveled all over the country and met the citizens of Mongolia. I wish success in their political work and good health and happiness to their family and children.
