“THE TWO HEADS OF STATE MET FOR THE FIRST TIME AND ADOPTED A JOINT DECLARATION AIMED AT NEW CENTURY OF BILATERAL RELATIONS”
H.E. Mr. Azizov Iskander Kubarovich, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Mongolia:
Dear friends!
The passing of 2021 was full of events in Mongolian-Russian relations, and the pandemic couldn't interrupt us to celebrating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries and the 40th anniversary of our joint space flight. My Mongolian friends also celebrated the 100th anniversary of the People's Revolution, the Mongolian People's Party and the Armed Forces, and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Academy of Sciences. These anniversaries are also closely linked to the strong friendship and cooperation between our two countries.
As a result of many months of working together, the two heads of state met for the first time, and they adopted a joint declaration aimed at bringing the comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level and a new century of bilateral relations.
Our two countries have successfully developed cooperation in politics, trade, economy, military, military technology, culture, humanitarian and many other fields, effectively coordinated their efforts in the international arena, and held comprehensive talks for the benefit of the two countries' people. Negotiations are moving forward.
I am confident that the coming 2022 will bring many additional opportunities to fully realize the inexhaustible potential of cooperation between our two countries.
Happy New Year 2022 to all of you! Wish you all will be full of success, love, health, harmony of mind and spirit, and optimism in upcoming 2022!

"WE WOULD LIKE TO SUPPORT MONGOLIA IN POST PANDEMIC RECOVERY AND BUILDING FORWARD BETTER"
H.E. Mrs. Axelle Nicaise, Ambassador of the European Union to Mongolia:
This is my first time starting a New Year in Mongolia, since I assumed my duties as EU Ambassador in September 2021. My first months have been very busy! I had the opportunity to travel to Selenge, Darkhan and Umnugobi to have a better understanding of Mongolia and its people. We share the same values of democracy, human rights and rule of law.
For Mongolia, the European Union is a third neighbour. For the European Union, Mongolia is a most valued partner. Mongolia has an important role in a complex region, with a unique geostrategic position.
I have a very dynamic agenda going forward the next years. My ambition is to make Mongolia more resilient and diversify its economy and also to promote trade exchanges with the European Union. We just adopted the new programming 2021-2027. First, we will work with Mongolia on green sustainable development and green energy transition. We encourage the reduction of carbon emissions by investing in renewable energies in line with Mongolia’s latest commitments at COP26.
Second, we will continue supporting Mongolia’s democratic and economic development The European Union will continue to contribute to Mongolia’s growth for the benefit of its citizens, in line with Vision 2050 of the Mongolian Government.
Third, I would like to support Mongolia in post pandemic recovery and building forward better. We would like to boost smart, clean and secure connectivity in digital, energy and transport and strengthen health, education and research. That is the new initiative by the European Commission that we call the Global Gateways.
On behalf of the Delegation of the European Union to Mongolia and myself, I would like to express my heartfelt greetings to the people of Mongolia for the New Year. I wish you and your families strong health, peace, prosperity, and happiness. Happy New Year!

“WE HAVE MUCH TO BE OPTIMISTIC ABOUT AS WE HEAD INTO 2022”
H.E. Mr. Dave Preston, Australia's Chargé d’Affaires to Mongolia:
Sain baina uu.
On behalf of the Australian Embassy, I want to wish everyone watching happy holidays and a happy safe New Year!
My wife Rosemary and I are delighted to be celebrating our first New Year’s in Mongolia. This upcoming year is especially significant for us as it marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Australia and Mongolia.
Despite 2021 presenting us with many of the same challenges to overcome because this pandemic, we have much to be optimistic about as we head into 2022. Mongolia’s strong vaccination rates and rapid response to COVID-19 has allowed us the privilege of a growing normalcy and a return to many activities we normally take for granted.
Australia was happy to contribute to Mongolia’s vaccination campaign just as Mongolia kindly supported Australia during the bushfires in 2020. As we celebrate a half century of growing relations, we want to highlight the achievements and links we have forged, based on our shared values and interests, as democracies and free market economies.
To all our partners, colleagues, and the Mongolian people, thank you for all your support and cooperation and we look forward to another year of friendship.
Shin jiliin mend khurgie! /Happy new year!/

“I HOPE 2022 WILL BRING JOYS THAT NEVER FADE, HOPES THAT NEVER DIE, AND STRENGTH THAT NEVER WEAKENS”
H.E. Mr. M.P. Singh, Ambassador of the Republic of India to Mongolia:
As we are heading towards a period of recovery after challenging 2021, I extend my warm greetings for a happy and prosperous New Year to everyone. I genuinely wish that 2022 prove to be a year of revitalization, fresh dynamism, renewed hope, good health & rapid progress.
In the true spirit of Indian philosophy that sees - the World as one big family, let us all shun differences and celebrate together pluralism while promoting understanding, harmony and tolerance among all communities. Let the New Year be dedicated to the creation of an inclusive society where goodwill and brotherhood prevails & citizens of the world adopt a constructive and pragmatic approach to deal with the socio-economic challenges brought by the Covid pandemic.
Despite Covid pandemic challenges, our economic cooperation continued to gather momentum through exchange of visit of leaders from respective countries while actual construction of the USD 1.236 billion Oil Refinery Project and USD 20 million Centre of Excellence in IT & Comm Tech commenced in 2021 and the Project of our Friendship School was also finalized.
For India Mongolia relations, in 2022 we seek to reinforce our civilizational values, consolidate our shared heritage and further intensify economic cooperation for a bright and promising future for the citizens of our two friendly nations.
For all of GOGO.mn, I hope 2022 will bring joys that never fade, hopes that never die, and strength that never weakens.

“WE WILL WORK TO FIND NEW WAYS FOR CANADA TO EXCHANGE BEST PRACTICES AND EXPERTISE IN GREEN INNOVATION WITH MONGOLIA”
H.E. Ms. Catherine Ivkoff, Ambassador of the Canada to Mongolia:
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The past year has brought challenges. In Canada, the discovery of unmarked graves at former residential schools shocked and profoundly saddened us, and emphasized to us that we must strengthen our commitment to reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples.
In Canada, as in Mongolia, we have been focussed on fighting the pandemic. The advent of vaccines and high rates of vaccination in both Canada and Mongolia have enabled us to start moving back towards regular life, perhaps with a new appreciation for activities that we might have taken for granted in the past.
Despite the challenges we have faced, Canada and Mongolia continue to enjoy very strong bilateral relations. Together we have achieved many successes. Ensemble, nous avons obtenu de nombreux succès
In May 2021 we held the 9th Canada-Mongolia Roundtable and we adopted the Roadmap for Comprehensive Partnership, to chart the way forward as we continue to strengthen our bilateral relationship. Our solid relationship is based on our shared values of democracy, respect for the rule of law, and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.
Our team in the Embassy of Canada has worked with tremendous dedication to further diversify our trade and commercial relations with Mongolia, support Canada’s development assistance projects and feminist international assistance policy in Mongolia, promote Canadian values and diplomatic initiatives, and provide consular services to Canadians.
We will continue to pursue all of these objectives in 2022, in innovative and sustainable ways, knowing that equity, justice, diversity and inclusion, including gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, are the key to success in everything that we do.
Combatting climate change is a top priority for both Canada and Mongolia. In 2021 we witnessed severe impacts of climate change in both our countries. In the new year, we will work to find new ways for Canada to exchange best practices and expertise in green innovation with Mongolia.
In the international arena in 2022 Canada will continue to stand up to support international peace and security, the rule of law, democracy, and respect for human rights, and continue working with Mongolia on international issues of mutual interest.
I wish you and your families a very happy new year and look forward to working with you in 2022! Je vous souhaite, ainsi qu'à vos familles, une très joyeuse nouvelle année et j'ai hâte de travailler avec vous en 2022!

“I WAS VERY MOVED WHEN I SAW THE NATIONAL FLAG OF MONGOLIA WAS RAISED IN THE TOKYO OLYMPIC”
H.E. Mr. Kobayashi Hiroyuki, Ambassador of Japan to Mongolia:
Dear fellow Mongolians,
Here I would like to extend new year’s greeting.
In 2021, we have been struggling against COVID-19 pandemic. However, I think that we, the human being, have proved to be able to get over this difficulty by solidarity and cooperation. I hope this difficulty will be over and the days when we can live with peaceful mind will come back as soon as possible.
In the summer of 2021, the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games were held successfully, and Mongolian athletes played outstandingly in the Games. I was very moved when I saw the national flag of Mongolia was raised. Moreover, the attendance to the opening ceremony by Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene was the strong and encouraging support for not only Mongolian athletes but also people of the host country.
In 2022, we are going to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Mongolia. Our two countries have decided this memorable year to be “the year for youth exchange”. Hoping that the youth who bear the future of our countries will strengthen their relationship and deepen their friendship, the Embassy of Japan in Mongolia will hold many events and look forward to your participation therein.
I hope that everyone will feel fully energetic, learn and accomplish a lot in 2022. I would like to conclude my greeting by wishing good health and happiness to all mongolian people.
Happy new year!
