Free WiFi Rolled Out on 600 Public Buses in Ulaanbaatar

The Office of the Governor, in collaboration with the "Ulaanbaatar City Development Corporation" and "Larisco Media Group," has introduced high-speed wireless internet (WiFi) on 600 public transport buses in Ulaanbaatar. This initiative makes Ulaanbaatar one of the few global capitals offering free WiFi on its public transportation.

E.Dolgion, founder of "Larisco Media Group", highlighted that passengers can use this service for free while on the buses. In comparison, only 3% of buses in New York City and 20% in London offer free internet, while over 50% of Ulaanbaatar's buses are now equipped with this feature. The project aims to extend internet access to all buses in the city, thanks to the technological support of Mobicom Group. Additionally, digital media screens are being installed in buses to provide passengers with up-to-date news and information.

Officials believe that improving public transport services and providing these conveniences will likely increase the number of bus users in Ulaanbaatar.
