“Billion Trees Expo” to continue until May 15

The “Billion Trees Expo” planting and seedling fair will continue between April 25 and May 15.

A total of 81 vendors are offering standard-compliant seedlings at Barilgachdiin talbai, Central Stadium, Jukov Square, and the Central Palace of Culture Square in Nalaikh District.

S.Erdenesaikhan, Head of the Urban Greenery Department of the Governor’s Office, said that by decree of the President of Mongolia, the Saturdays and Sundays of May and September each year have been designated as National Tree Planting Days, establishing a nationwide tradition of planting, caring for, and protecting trees. In this context, the trade fair is being organized from April 25 to May 15, for a total of 20 days,” he said.

He added that the exhibition aims to support citizens, communities, and enterprises engaged in tree cultivation and afforestation, while expanding market linkages. The “Billion Trees” national movement plays an important role in environmental protection, increasing forest cover, and reducing the negative impacts of climate change.
