The Mongolian men’s national team has made history, capturing the gold medal at the first-ever WPA Heyball (Chinese Pool) World Cup. Held from January 16 to 19, 2026, the tournament brought together the world’s elite cueists to compete in Brisbane, Australia.
In the men’s tournament the Mongolian team took the gold medal, becoming the inaugural champions. The winning side comprised E.Temuujin, L.Delgerdalai and D.Damdinjamts.
Team captain E.Temuujin, described here as a pioneer of the sport in Mongolia, is the country’s first Asian champion in heyball and previously won two silver medals at the American Pool Billiards Youth World Championship (2016 and 2017).
