Kh.Bolorchuluun: 5.5 million cows will be ear tagged

Kh.Bolorchuluun, the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, informed that a decision to tag ears of the cattle herd in order to determine the origin of raw materials of livestock origin. 

"In this spring, all 5.5 million cows in Mongolia will be ear tagged and digital registration will be made. By doing this, the origin of the beef from which province will be clear. About MNT 13 billion will be required to tag the 5.5 million cows. The funds will be made by some projects implemented by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry, not from the State budget, and from the profitable operation of the Agricultural Exchange.
