The Prime Minister of Mongolia L.Oyun-Erdene visited “Narantuul” international trade center today and met with traders. A quarantine has been imposed and 95 percent of enterprises have started operations.
In this regard, the PM met with traders and got acquainted with the infection control regime. Traders said that the Narantuul trade center is having few customers, poor sales, and poor purchases these days. The PM said “33 new outbreaks have been found and we are trying to open the country's borders if the infection regime is adhered and outbreaks decreased. It's not easy for traders, but it's nice to see them working with a positive attitude. The economy has a loss of -6% which had 5% growth before the pandemic. People should not rely on the State to solve all problems. It depends on every person to improve the economy. Let’s work together to improve the economy”. Traders made following requests to the PM:
- Open rural roads
- Open the border
- Open public transport
- Support business by issuing loan
- Visa-free travel to South Korea and Japan
- Have flexible policy on bank loan requirements
- Stabilize currency exchange rate
