Mongolian athlete P.Murun has won the Rally3 World Cup title in the 2026 World Rally-Raid Championship (W2RC), becoming the first Mongolian to win a world championship title in the competition.
Rally-raid is a form of motorsport held over several days across diverse terrain, including deserts, sand dunes, rocky areas, and off-road tracks. Competitors test their speed, endurance, and navigation skills while using maps and navigation equipment to determine their routes and reach designated checkpoints.
P.Murun has previously competed in the Dakar Rally, one of the world’s most demanding off-road races, in 2025 and 2026. At the 2025 Dakar Rally, he competed in the motorcycle category and finished 76th overall. P. Murun is also a seven-time Mongolian Rally Champion.
