Prime Minister of Mongolia Uchral Nyam-Osor departed on September 27, 2026, for an official visit to Japan at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae.
Prime Minister N.Uchral was seen off at Chinggis Khaan International Airport by B.Enkhbayar, Head of the Cabinet Secretariat.
The official visit will take place from September 27 to 30 and marks Prime Minister N.Uchral’s first official overseas visit.
During the visit, Prime Minister N.Uchral will hold official talks with Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae. The talks will focus on further expanding and deepening the “Special Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity” between Mongolia and Japan, strengthening people-centered cooperation, and exchanging views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to meet with the Speakers of the House of Councillors and House of Representatives of the Japanese Diet, as well as the leadership of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), representatives of the Japan-Mongolia Economic Committee, and members of the Japanese business community.
A meeting with Mongolian citizens residing in Japan is also planned. Mongolia and Japan will mark the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2027.
