On March 6, 1913, the first edition of “Shine Toli” newspaper was published which was the first foundation of Mongolia's media sector. Jamsran Tseveen, the scholar, worked as the editor of this newspaper.

In 1993, this day was supported as the “Mongolian Journalists’ Day”. The newspaper "Shine Toli" was printed in the form of a magazine with about 50 pages and 500 copies were distributed to government institutions.
On the occasion of this day, a signing ceremony was held today for the approval of the heads of the Confederation of Mongolian Journalists. During the event, it was announced to publish an encyclopedia of the history of Mongolian journalism.
Furthermore, the 110th anniversary celebration, the 65th anniversary of "Gan Zam" newspaper, and the commemoration ceremony were held at the "Gan Zam" Palace.
