The women’s national team, O.Khulan, B.Ariuntsetseg, N.Nandinkhusel, and M.Tserenlkham, who won the silver medal at the 2025 FIBA 3x3 Basketball World Cup, are being awarded the title of Honored Athlete of Mongolia.
The team’s coach, a Canadian citizen, has also been awarded the Order of Friendship in recognition of his contribution to the development of friendly relations between Mongolia and Canada.
The awards were presented by President U.Khurelsukh at the State Palace.
As the President said:
“You have brought great honor to your country and elevated the pride of the Mongolian people. On behalf of the state and people of Mongolia, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the athletes, coaches, and mentors who won silver medals at the World Championship.
I also thank the Mongolian Basketball Federation, Governor’s Office of Capital City, and all individuals and organizations who made this tournament possible.
Through unity, we have achieved great success and brought joy to our people. I congratulate the team, the federations, and your families. You have shown the world the strength and dedication of Mongolian women and inspired the youth. The State deeply appreciates your hard work and values the example you have set. May Mongolia rise forever under the eternal blue sky.”
