Turkish Minister of National Defense visits Mongolia

At the invitation of Mongolian Minister of Defense D.Batlut, Turkish Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler is paying an official visit to Mongolia.

The visit began with a formal welcome ceremony by the State Honor Guard and senior officials of the Ministry of Defense. The two sides then held talks on ways to further deepen bilateral defense cooperation.

During the meeting, they agreed to expand archaeological research within the framework of Turkic studies, jointly explore the history and heritage of the Mongolian military, exchange experience in the health sector, train military doctors and specialists, enhance cooperation in military education, and collaborate on the development of the defense industry.

As part of the program, Minister Güler also visited the Ministry of Defense’s heritage collection, where he was introduced to the symbolism of Mongolia’s historic military emblems.

The visit will continue with Minister Güler’s participation in the inauguration of a small-scale ammunition plant established in Mongolia under bilateral defense cooperation.
