“SM Container Bag” LLC has been operating for over a decade, producing mining bags and other kinds of bags and packages. The factory, employing 120 people, is capable of producing 240 thousand mining bags per year. The Prime Minister Ch.Saikhanbileg visited the factory February 17 to erun the “Hour of Solutions” weekly event.
On full capacity, the factory is able provide jobs for a thousand personnel with average monthly wages of 0.7 – 1.3 million MNT. The factory is wasteless, and recycles water. It has been supplying mining bags to Erdenet Mining Corporation (EMC) since 2005, and with the technological update in 2013, is also supplying to Oyu Tolgoi LLC.
The company has set a goal to cover the domestic consumption of bags and export its goods in the near future, said executive director T.Butemj and thanked the government for promoting small and medium enterprises through "Chingis" bonds and other instruments. Accordingly, the company has been allowed 800 million MNT credit from the government bonds.
Ch.Saikhanbileg assigned related officials to promote domestic suppliers in the mining industries.
