On November 28, U.Khurelsukh, the President of Mongolia, held a meeting with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, while attending the 28th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
During the meeting, His Highness and President Khurelsukh discussed cooperation between the UAE and Mongolia.
Within the framework of the meeting of the Heads of State of the two countries, the following documents were established to strengthen the legal framework of cooperation between Mongolia and the United Arab Emirates. It includes:
- Memorandum on visa exemption for diplomatic, special, official, service, and ordinary passports;
- Memoranda of Understanding on the exchange of experience on government development and reforms
- MoU on establishing a joint committee between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of both nations
- MoU between the Emirates Policy Center and the Institute for International Studies of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences
- MoU between the UAE’s Digital School and Mongolia’s General Authority for Education on cooperation in digital learning initiatives
- MoU between the Mongolian National Radio and Abu Dhabi Media Network
Within the framework of these memorandums, a legal framework for visa-free travel for citizens of the two countries will be formed, and cooperation between the two countries will further expand in the sectors of trade, economy, food, agriculture, energy, mining, education, road transport and combating desertification.
The President of Mongolia congratulated the upcoming 52nd anniversary of the establishment of the United Arab Emirates.
