The National Labor and Social Partnership Committee, comprising the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Protection, the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Union, and Federation, held a meeting where it was decided to raise the minimum wage by 20%, reaching MNT 792,000 starting from April 1, 2025. The current minimum wage stands at MNT 660,000.
The meeting participants supported this increase, recognizing that the current minimum wage is insufficient to cover basic living expenses for one person. Additionally, a proposal was made to further raise the minimum wage to MNT 1 million starting in 2026.
