Hungary expressed support for Baidrag hydropower plant project

During the official visit of G.Zandanshatar, the Speaker of the Parliament, to Hungary, B.Javkhlan,  the Minister of Finance, held a meeting with Péter Szijjártó, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

At the meeting, negotiations were held on the implementation of the project to build the Baidrag hydropower plant in Bayankhongor province.

The Hungarian side expressed its readiness to support and cooperate with the Baidrag hydropower plant construction project.

During the meeting, the Minister of Finance gave the project's feasibility study document to the Hungarian side. As a result of the new hydropower plant, it will create a renewable energy source with a capacity of up to 30 MW. And this will ensure the reliability of electricity in the central region of Mongolia and reduce the consumption of imported energy.
