New Ambassadors of Belarus and Thailand present credentials to Mongolian President

The newly appointed Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus and the Kingdom of Thailand to Mongolia have officially presented their letters of credence to Khurelsukh Ukhnaa, the President of Mongolia.

During the credentialing ceremonies, President U.Khurelsukh commended the steady expansion of friendly relations and bilateral cooperation with both nations in recent years. He reaffirmed Mongolia’s commitment to fostering practical, mutually beneficial partnerships across key sectors moving forward.

In his meeting with the newly accredited Belarusian Ambassador, Mikhail Sergeyevich Orda, discussions centered on bolstering economic ties. The two sides exchanged views on leveraging the Interim Trade Agreement between Mongolia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and its member states, of which Belarus is a component, to open up new avenues for trade and economic integration. Ambassador Orda expressed his strong commitment to actively expanding bilateral cooperation in fields of shared interest during his diplomatic tenure.

President U.Khurelsukh also received the incoming Thai Ambassador, Chatchai Viriyavejakul. Ambassador Wiriyawejakul expressed his determination to work diligently toward deepening the traditional and friendly ties between the two nations. Thailand remains a key partner for Mongolia in Southeast Asia and a vital link to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) framework. The two countries share a long-standing diplomatic history, having first established official relations on March 5, 1974.
